Toffee Pear Pizza Pud

INGREDIENTS

1x ready-rolled puff pastry

1 egg

2 pears, (deseeded and destalked) thinly sliced

30g butter

2.5ml ground cinnamon

60ml brown sugar

15ml Darling Sweet Honey & Salt Toffee Spread

30ml plain yogurt

100g roughly chopped nuts of choice

15ml cream

45ml Darling Sweet Honey & Salt Toffee Spread

METHOD

Preheat oven to 200 ˚ Roll and cut puff pastry into a circle in a 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet. Crimp edges of pastry and prick crust with fork. Brush pastry with beaten egg and bake for +- 20 minutes until lightly brown.

In a medium pan over medium heat, melt butter. Add pear slices, cook for 5 minutes. Add brown sugar and cinnamon, cook for another 5 minutes.

In a small microwavable bowl, stir together Darling Sweet Honey & Salt Toffee Spread and yogurt. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir until well combined.

Brush toffee and yogurt mixture over baked crust. Arrange pear slices over caramel and top with chopped nuts.

Bake pizza for another 20 minutes until golden brown.

In a small microwavable bowl, combine 45ml Darling Sweet Honey & Salt Toffee Spread and cream. Microwave for 20 seconds and stir until combined. Drizzle over pizza.

Slice pizza into 8-10 wedges and serve.

SERVING SUGGESTION

Add some rocket and enjoy with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
